Book Clubs for 2008

We've filled up the book club meetings for the rest of the year...all in Plano at Reyes except for October book club. So mark your calendars now!

September 17th is Kathleen Korbel / Eileen Dreyer. She'll have a new Noctourne out in September, DEADLY REDEMPTION but we can talk about any of her books. Picnic theme...burgers, hot dogs, etc...

October 22nd, Angie Fox. THE ACCIDENTAL DEMON SLAYER is in stores now ... it was a summer book. Spooky spaghetti and the fixins is the food theme! Costumes optional?

November 19th, Linda Howard and DEATH ANGEL is our pick. It is controversial! Lasagna is the theme...Pat is making her famous lasagna.

December 13th, Holiday Tea/Book Club combo in Plano. With White Elephant of course!

NEW!!!! A Romance Readers Conference

Fresh Fiction is holding the inaugural "Readers 'n 'ritas Conference" on Friday, October 10th to Saturday, October 11th at the North Dallas / Richardson Radisson Hotel. Guests include Sherrilyn Kenyon and Dianna Love, with more to follow. Cost is only $100 ($75 if you purchase before August 1st) and includes lunch, dinner and at least one margarita (or other beverage). Plans include a book swap, discussion groups, and just generally a FABULOUS time held by all! We'll also need volunteers to help! What's the DFW Tea Readers Group and Book Club?

A book club for romance, mystery, science fiction/fantasy readers and authors in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. We do a monthly tea at a tearoom around the metroplex, alternating east and west sides, as well as trips to Denton and Duncanville, plus our fabulous Holiday Tea. If you read and love to discuss your books and authors, this is a great group with lively on-line discussion as well as the opportunity to meet in person.

The book club meets on the second Saturday of each month for tea and on the third Wednesday for dinner and an author call-in. Members also attend many signings in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. New members are always welcome!
