Book Signings

I'll try to be as diligent as possible this year in letting people know in advance about area book signings. My goal is to make as many as possible and you all know I like to make it a "celebration" with fellow readers and the author when possible. So, please take it as a given we'll be inviting the author to meet with us and I'd love you to turn out before, during or after the signing to show our support of authors. As soon as I get the information it will be entered here under "events" and hopefully sent to the list. Not everyone is on the list so please check back weekly! Any questions please let me know!

Readers in North Texas are in for a treat!! Visits by Clive Cussler, Greg Illes, Marie Cussler and Jodi Thomas. We'll be having special fan times with Jodi Thomas -- lunch at La Madeleine -- and Marie Bostwick -- dinner at the fabulous Cheesecake Factory! If you'd like to join us for any of the above pre-signing reader events, please send a note to dfwtea-owner at yahoogroups.com. We welcome new readers!

We're also looking forward to our annual Holiday Tea with White elephant gift exchange. It will be held on Saturday, December 8th at Summer Sharp's home in Richardson. This year is a pot-luck tea with a sign up menu to be announced soon. So keep your eye out on the most fabulous "interesting" white elephants gifts to give!

Don't miss the pictures from our October Halloween Book Club with Shirley Damgsaard. It was spooky fun! The "scary spagetti" was a hit! Oh, I loved the chocolate spiders too! And Sandi's family has a definite knack for doing it "up" for the holiday -- not an inch was left to chance! Can you guess this yesr's theme? Check out the pics! and leave your own comments!

A book club for romance, mystery, science fiction/fantasy readers and authors in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. We do a monthly tea at a tearoom around the metroplex, alternating east and west sides, as well as trips to Denton and Duncanville, plus our fabulous Holiday Tea. If you read and love to discuss your books and authors, this is a great group with lively on-line discussion as well as the opportunity to meet in person.

The book club meets on the second Saturday of each month for tea and on the third Wednesday for dinner and an author call-in. Members also attend many signings in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. New members are always welcome!
